Nancy Teresa Anzoategui is an internationally recognized lawyer and arbitrator with over two decades of experience in international commercial and investment arbitration. She holds a law degree from the School of Law and Social Sciences at Buenos Aires University (1995), is a certified mediator from the Public Bar Association of the Federal Capital (CPACF, 1996), and a master’s in International Relations from Belgrano University (2020), with a specialization in investment arbitration. She is also a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Belgrano University and is currently pursuing further specialization at Georgetown University, Washington D.C.

Nancy is the founder of Anzoategui & Asociados in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and leads the international arbitration team at Hanei in Texas, USA. She also co-founded Management Advisors, with offices in Sweden, Argentina, and the United States, assisting Spanish-speaking clients with legal and immigration documentation. She has acted as an independent arbitrator for institutions including CIAR, CIAC, the National Chamber of Commerce of Bolivia, and AmCham Perú.

Her professional experience includes working as an assistant to renowned arbitrator Horacio Grigera Naon in Washington D.C., advising on complex investment and commercial arbitration cases under ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA, and ICSID rules. Nancy is deeply involved in promoting international arbitration, having organized major conferences in Buenos Aires and across Latin America and lecturing internationally. She has contributed to the reform of Argentina’s National Civil and Commercial Code on arbitration matters and actively promoted the International Investment Arbitration Law passed by the Argentine Congress in 2018.

Nancy is a member of prominent professional bodies such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), American Bar Association (ABA), International Bar Association (IBA), ArbitralWomen, International Law Association (ILA), and the Argentine Committee on National and Transnational Arbitration (CARAT). She has held leadership roles, including Secretary General of the Inter-American Bar Association (IABA) and participation in UNCITRAL working groups on dispute resolution.

Her practice focuses on sectors such as energy, oil and gas, and construction, providing comprehensive legal and arbitration services to companies in Spanish-speaking countries, as well as internationally. Nancy combines legal expertise, interdisciplinary collaboration, and global insight to deliver effective, commercially sound solutions in arbitration and international law.
